Parents Part of the teaching progress is finding ways to make the game more fun and enjoyable for everyone involved-- and the USTA introduces tennis & makes learning the rules of the game easier and more colorful with our Illustrated Introduction to the Rules of Tennis. For those with children ages 5-10, the QuickStart Tennis format is designed with your kids in mind-- as they bodies and minds grow, so will their enjoyment of a brand of tennis that caters to their developmental needs. Smallers racquets and courts, with foam or low-compression balls, allows for a better education of the game, and most importantly-- more fun for them, their coaches, and parents. For more information about QuickStart, feel free to review QuickStart Tennis: A Guide for Parents and Recreational Coaches. As a parent, we need your help to make USTA Jr. Team Tennis a success. We need committed parents and tennis enthusiasts to assist in running local USTA Jr. Team Tennis programs. And whether you’re experienced as a coach or not, the USTA has the resources to assist you. Our self-paced training courses, as well as our hands-on Recreational Coach Workshops will provide you with the necessary tools to get you started and/or enhance your skills.
