Going Green
This year one of the focuses at the National Championships will be “going green.”  Procedures to help this cause include adding waste receptacles for recycling, donating used balls to the community, recycling tennis ball cans and distributing Eco-friendly bags to all players. 

As a player, spectator and parent you may be wondering what you can do?
Here are a few ideas:
At the hotel, turn off the electricity when you are not in the room, request not to have sheets and towels laundered daily, reduce amount of time spent in the shower.
Rent fuel efficient cars such as hybrid models. 
Bring your cup/mug from home to use for Starbucks who will be on-site all weekend providing free coffee.

We are in search of additional ways to make the event green, if you have an idea you’d like to share, please email jrteamtennis@usta.com  Entrants will automatically be entered into a random drawing held on October 12 to win a case of Penn balls specially marked with the Jr. Team Tennis logo.
