The PTC Aces of Plainfield, NJ, representing the USTA Eastern section, today captured the National Championship title at the 2009 USTA Jr. Team Tennis 18 and Under Intermediate National Championships, which were held at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, AL from Friday, October 30 through Sunday, November 1.

The PTC Aces defeated Cedar Bluff Racquet Club of Knoxville, TN and the USTA Southern section, 45 games to 44 (8-4 in sets) in the Championship in a match that was ultimately determined by a 10-point, mixed doubles super-tiebreaker worth one point. Jr. Team Tennis matches are scored by total games won to encourage players to compete hard in every game.
